Tennis Players Dominate Highest-Paid Female Athletes List

Highest-paid female athletes 2015

It is a tennis player’s world when it comes to the highest-paid female athletes of 2015. The sport’s domination of the Forbes rich list is unmistakable with only three athletes from other sports making the cut. Those outsiders include Nascar’s Danica Patrick at number four with $13.5 million, UFC champion Ronda Rousy at number eight with $6.5 million and golfer Stacy Lewis at number nine with $6.4 million.

Surprisingly, there were no soccer players, despite recent increased interest in the sport—particularly in the United States where the women’s team just won the World Cup for the third time. Here is the full top 10 highest-paid female athletes list.

Maria Sharapova  $29.7 million
