The Highest-Paid Country Artists of 2015

Highest-Paid Country Acts

Country fans were rocked recently by the news that Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert were getting a divorce. Country’s “it” couple seemed to have it all, including a tie for 9th place in Forbes’ highest-paid country stars of 2015 list. The former pair each earned an impressive $28.5 million last year—by no means shabby. Here are the top three earners.

1) Garth Brooks

It should be no surprise that Garth Brooks snagged the number one slot of highest-paid country acts of 2015, as he is arguably one of the bigger names in country. To boot, he earned the most in a year of any country act in Forbes. He owes the hefty paycheck of $90 million to touring arena shows at over $1 million a pop.

2) Toby Keith

Keith played fewer shows than his fellow musicians, but owes his number two standing to his impressive business endeavors. He has a record label, restaurant chain and enjoys hefty endorsements from brands like Ford. All this raked in $53 million.

3) Jason Aldean

This was the shocker in the list, as Aldean is relatively new to the country biz yet he somehow beat heavy weights like Tim McGraw. Forbes attributes his financial success to his international appeal. Aldean’s country is heavily influenced by rock. He has even played shows in the UK and Sweden. Additionally, he owns a stake in the streaming service Tidal. He pulled in $43.5 million.
