James Carr Walton is the youngest son of Sam Walton, the legendary founder of the biggest retail store in the world, Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart has over 11,000 retail stores with a presence in 27 countries. Jim Walton is the 7th richest man in the U.S. and the 9th richest man in the world, according to Forbes.
Jim took over on the Wal-Mart Board of Directors in 2005 after his brother John passed away in a plane crash. He also serves as Chairman and CEO of his family owned Arvest Bank, which has branches in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kansas.
Walton is married to wife Lynne, and they have four children together. The family resides in Bentonville, Arkansas.
