Russian billionaire Leonid Mikhelson is the Chairman, CEO and a major shareholder of the company Novatek. Novatek is the biggest independent producer of natural gas in Russia. In 1987 he started running the company and turned it around by moving away from construction, and focusing on obtaining permissions to produce oil and gas. He holds a 25 percent stake in the company and is also the biggest shareholder at First United Bank. According to Forbes, his personal net worth was at an estimated $15.6 billion in 2014.
